Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care\n\nLocations:\n\n * Milton Keynes\n\n * Bedford\n\n * Wolverhampton\n\n * Telford\n\nSalary & Benefits\n\n * 32K+ (depending on experience and qualifications)\n\n * Ongoing training and development\n\n * Clear progression opportunities (e.g. Deputy Manager)\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to support the delivery of high-quality care within children’s residential homes across the Midlands and surrounding areas.\n\nWorking alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will lead and support a team to provide safe, nurturing, and child-centred care. You will play a key role in supporting children to develop resilience, build positive relationships, and achieve positive outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead, motivate, and support Residential Support Workers\n\n * Deliver high-quality, child-centred care\n\n * Support children with daily routines, education, and activities\n\n * Promote positive behaviour and support de-escalation strategies\n\n * Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reviews\n\n * Ensure safeguarding practices are consistently followed\n\n * Build effective relationships with families and professionals\n\n * Support staff development through supervision and mentoring\n\nRequirements\n\nEssential:\n\n * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)\n\n * Experience working within children’s residential care\n\n * Experience in a senior or leadership role\n\n * Full UK driving licence\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Level 5 qualification (or working towards)\n\n * Experience supervising or mentoring staff\n\n * Experience supporting children with complex needs\n\nSkills & Attributes\n\n * Strong leadership and communication skills\n\n * Ability to remain calm under pressure\n\n * Child-focused, resilient, and compassionate approach\n\n * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare\n\n * Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins\n\nApply\n\nIf you are looking to take the next step in your career and make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, we encourage you to apply
