Consultant Plastic Surgery

While this is currently an ad-hoc requirement, there is significant potential for the successful candidate to be selected for ongoing ad-hoc gaps and future sessions within the department.\n\nDetailed Clinical Responsibilities:\n\nAs a Consultant on-call, your duties will encompass a comprehensive range of surgical and administrative tasks, including:\n\n * 24-Hour On-Call Coverage: Providing expert plastic surgery cover (excluding burns, cleft, and craniofacial specialties).\n\n * Clinical Handover: Participating in the 08:00 handover to ensure seamless continuity of patient care.\n\n * Inpatient Care: Conducting thorough ward rounds for all current inpatients within the specialty.\n\n * Trauma Management: Reviewing trauma patients and performing Same Day Care (SDC) assessments for those listed for the PM trauma list.\n\n * Surgical Lists: Leading the PM trauma list (scheduled for 13:30 theatre start).\n\n * Emergency Cover: Managing any other surgical emergencies, including providing cross-specialty cover where clinical expertise is required.\n\n * Non-Resident Status: This is a non-resident on-call shift, requiring availability and rapid response times as per trust protocols.\n\nEssential Criteria – Please Read Carefully:\n\nNote: This vacancy is strictly for candidates with dedicated Paediatric experience.\n\n * Candidates must submit a Paediatric-focused CV.\n\n * Any CVs that do not explicitly demonstrate Paediatric Plastic Surgery experience will be disregarded by the clinical lead.\n\n * Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice is mandatory.\n\n * Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.\n\n * Valid right to work in the UK.\n\nWhy Join Evolve Staffing Ltd?\n\nAt Evolve Staffing, we pride ourselves on being more than just a recruitment agency; we are your career partners.
