Design Engineer

Design Engineer / Whitstable / Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone with experience in design engineer positions with experience with SolidWorks or similar design software’s within a mechanical or manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in designing and developing prototype products and working closely with other teams in the organisations to ensure standards are met.Key Responsibilities

• Liaising with external suppliers and customers when required
• Designing and developing prototype products
• Work with the testing team to ensure products meet guidelines and amending prototype specifications
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet the correct requirements
• Conduct investigations on failed prototype tests

Requirements

• Previous experience within a design engineer position
• Higher National Certificate or Degree in an Engineering field
• Experience using SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD software
• Background within manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Good communication and organisational skills
