This full-time role is ideal for individuals with strong practical skills and an interest in Design & Technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or education.

The Role

As a DT Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to the Design & Technology department, ensuring equipment, materials, and resources are prepared and maintained to a high standard.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for Design & Technology lessons
• Supporting teachers and students during practical classroom activities
• Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring resources are readily available
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials when required
• Ensuring workshops and classrooms are organised, clean, and safe
• Carrying out routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment
• Supporting health and safety procedures within the department
• Assisting with displays, projects, and departmental events where required

You should have:

• Good practical and technical skills
• An interest in Design & Technology, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or a related field
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Previous experience in a workshop, technical, engineering, or school environment is desirable but not essential
