This role offers a stable patch, realistic workloads, and strong technical support — ideal for an experienced refrigeration engineer looking for a long‑term move.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou’ll carry out service, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of commercial refrigeration systems across retail, hospitality, leisure, and light industrial sites. Typical equipment includes:\n\nWalk‑in chillers & freezers\n\nDisplay fridges & cabinets\n\nIce machines\n\nCellar cooling\n\nPacks & associated plant\n\nSmall‑scale cold rooms\nYou’ll manage your own workload, attend reactive breakdowns, complete PPM, and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with F‑Gas regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDeliver PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial refrigeration systems\n\nDiagnose faults and complete efficient, safe repairs\n\nCarry out F‑Gas compliant leak testing, pressure testing, evacuation and refrigerant handling\n\nComplete job sheets, compliance documentation and asset updates\n\nSupport customers with technical advice and system performance improvements\n\nParticipate in the on‑call rota (typically 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 depending on patch)\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nProven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer\n\nStrong fault‑finding skills across commercial refrigeration equipment\n\nF‑Gas Category 1 (C&G 2079) – essential\n\nNVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning – preferred\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nExperience in retail, hospitality, FM or commercial environments is beneficial\nPackage\n\n£42,000–£50,000 basic (DOE)\n\nOvertime at enhanced rates\n\nCall‑out allowance\n\nBonus\n\nCompany van + fuel card\n\nTools, uniform, PDA\n\nTraining & development \n\n25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\nPension + benefits package
