Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure\n\nMidlands\n£150,000 p.a. + Bonus + Package\n\nA Rare Opportunity with a Growing Civil Engineering Contractor\n\nA highly respected UK civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to strengthen its pre-construction team.\n\nThe business is currently experiencing a significant period of sustained growth, supported by a strong order book and a pipeline of major infrastructure and engineering projects across the Midlands.\n\nWith a long-established reputation for delivering technically complex projects safely and efficiently, the company works across sectors including transport infrastructure, aviation, utilities, highways and major urban developments.\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale civil engineering projects typically ranging from £20m – £150m+ while playing a key role in shaping winning tender strategies.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Senior Estimator, you will lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders for major civil engineering schemes.\n\nYou will work closely with senior commercial, operational and technical teams to develop robust pricing strategies and successful bids.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\nLeading tender pricing for major civil engineering and infrastructure projects\nReviewing technical documentation, drawings and specifications\nDeveloping cost plans, pricing strategies and value engineering solutions\nManaging the supply chain enquiry and pricing process\nIdentifying and managing commercial and technical risk\nPreparing tender adjudication reports and bid presentations\nWorking closely with project teams to support the handover from pre-construction to delivery\n\nWhat They’re Looking For\nProven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within Civil Engineering\nExperience pricing medium to large infrastructure projects\nStrong understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement routes\nExcellent commercial and analytical skills\nAbility to lead tenders and coordinate internal bid teams\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\n\nDesirable:\nExperience with highways, rail, utilities, aviation or major infrastructure schemes\nDegree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management\n\nWhy This Opportunity Stands Out\nJoin a contractor currently experiencing strong growth\nWork on major civil engineering and infrastructure projects\nBe part of a well-established business with an excellent reputation\nClear career progression within a growing pre-construction team\n\n£150,000 per annum and comprehensive benefits package\n\nFor a confidential discussion about this opportunity, please get in touch with Ben Symonds at Kenton Black, Birmingham
