Senior Substation Secondary (P&C) Design Engineer

Copello Global seeking numerous Senior Substation Secondary (P&C) Design Engineers with a strong understanding of electrical engineering, power systems, and energy markets to join an organisation on an initial 12-month contract.\n\nAs the Senior Substation Secondary (P&C) Design Engineer responsibilities include:\n\n * Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders\n\n * Working collaboratively both on client sites and within office environments\n\n * Understanding client requirements and converting opportunities into successful workstreams\n\n * Providing technical leadership on FEED and Detailed Design projects for:\n\n * Ensuring quality assurance and technical governance across all P&C design deliverables, including\n\n * Supporting team resourcing, capability development, and technical training\n\n * Reviewing P&C project deliverables, including:\n\n * Protection schemes\n\n * Settings and coordination studies\n\n * Substation automation architectures\n\n * I/O lists and interface drawings\n\n * Control room layouts\n\n * Marshalling cabinets\n\n * Protection panels\n\n * Managing tender packages and responding to technical queries\n\n * Producing high-quality P&C technical proposals and offers\n\n * Chairing and attending:\n\n * Design Review meetings\n\n * Hazard Review meetings\n\n * Reviewing P&C plant design packages and attending client site visits as required\n\n * Demonstrating strong communication, teamwork, and customer-focused skills\n\n * Supporting business development opportunities through strong client engagement\n\nEssential Experience & Qualifications\n\n * Experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Protection & Control (P&C) Design\n\n * Experience working on transmission or distribution projects, preferably up to 400kV (not essential)\n\n * A minimum 2:2 BEng degree in either Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or similar disciplines\n\nThis role is inside IR35 paying circa £60 per hour.\n\nPosition can be based in either Glasgow, Leeds, Epsom or Birmingham
