The business is investing heavily in next-generation technologies and offers engineers the chance to contribute to highly innovative projects within a collaborative international environment.\n\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the design, simulation, integration, and optimisation of advanced power electronics converter systems, while also supporting the application of AI and generative AI within engineering design processes.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will be responsible for:\n\nSystem design and development of power electronics converter prototypes\nRequirements analysis, system architecture, simulation, and optimisation\nSystem integration, component selection, sourcing, and technical specification definition\nIntegration and validation testing including test planning and technical reviews\nSupporting technical roadmap development and future technology planning\nCollaboration with suppliers, customers, universities, and research partners\nTechnical documentation and project archiving\nSupporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering teamWhat We're Looking For\n\nCandidates should have experience in:\n\nPower electronics system design and converter development\nConverter topologies including AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC\nIGBT or SiC MOSFET-based systems (1200V+)\nControl loop design, simulation, and testing\nThermal analysis, efficiency mapping, and loss analysis\nMulti-level converter technologies\nSimulation and engineering tools such as MATLAB, PLECS, CAD, CAE, or Ansys\nHardware integration and system-level engineeringWe're particularly interested in engineers with exposure to:\n\nAI or generative AI applications within engineering or design workflows\nAdvanced automotive, rail, renewable energy, or industrial power systemsRequirements\n\nDegree qualified in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field\nIdeally 5+ years' industry experience\nPhD-qualified candidates with relevant commercial experience are also encouraged to apply\nStrong communication and technical documentation skills\nAbility to work within multidisciplinary engineering teamsThis is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering business delivering innovative technology solutions into global markets.\n\nTo apply or find out more, please get in touch.\n\nCall (phone number removed) or email
