Senior Transport Planner\n\nLocation: East Yorkshire\nSalary: Competitive DOE\nJob Type: Full-time | Permanent\n\nI am currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join a busy logistics and operational planning environment.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established international business with a strong reputation for service, operational excellence and team culture.\n\nThis opportunity would suit somebody with previous experience within transport planning, logistics coordination, traffic operations, haulage or distribution planning, who is comfortable managing day-to-day operational activity within a fast-paced environment.\n\nThe Role\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nManaging daily transport and operational planning activity\nCoordinating with customers, suppliers, drivers and external partners\nMonitoring schedules, bookings and operational requirements\nResponding to operational issues and service queries\nUpdating planning systems and operational records accurately\nReviewing upcoming work to identify potential issues or delays\nSupporting operational efficiency and service performance\nEscalating operational concerns where required\nWorking closely with management and wider operational teams\nSupporting additional operational functions when required\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nThe successful candidate will ideally have:\n\nPrevious experience within transport, logistics, haulage or distribution\nExperience within a transport planning or traffic office environment\nStrong communication and organisational skills\nGood attention to detail\nThe ability to work calmly under pressure\nA proactive and hands-on approach\nGood IT and administration skills\nA strong operational mindset and team-focused attitude\nWorking Hours\n\nMonday to Friday on a rotating operational shift pattern.\n\nShared bank holiday cover may be required by agreement.\n\nPackage\n\nCompetitive salary depending on experience\nPermanent full-time opportunity\nSupportive team environment\nLong-term career opportunity within an established operation\nCompany benefits package\nFor more information, please apply or get in touch for a confidential discussion.\n\nOur clients and their customers come from diverse backgrounds and so do we.
